Teething again? does it ever end :(

Poor little missy is teething again! Sleep has been tough the last two nights :(
She has two molars coming in on the bottom, one has 3 points out of 4 out and the other side has 2 points out of 4. Her poor gums are so swollen I had to break out the Orajel as the teething tablets just weren't enough.
But the flip side is that is easier for her to eat and chew already!! :)
Her two canine pointy teeth never came all the way out, they are just hanging right at the gumline.
In other good news :) Danny's genetic testing all came back ok! phew!!
He has his MRI in two weeks and we get the results of his psych testing next week. Once all this is done we will meet again with the neurologist to see where we go from there.
His bus schedule changed to pick up at 6:20 am as they have a new kid riding, so after complaining to the bus people to no avail we will be dropping him off at school ourselves at 8:00 am. He really likes riding the bus so we will have him take it home still. The good thing is it will keep Victoria from being awakened by the noisy guys and the alarm at 6.
I tried to post pics of our trip to the zoo this weekend, but blogger is being a booger :)

Favorite Foto Friday

This was taken on Monday, just too cute :):)
You can tell we are locals - we are wearing pants, the tourists are in bathing suits and shorts :)

Great news!!!!
I called the clerk of courts yesterday to find out if we had a court date yet for our readoption only to find out that the judge signed our final judgements on December 21st!!!! PTL!! So we are going today to pick up certified copies to mail off to Vital Statistics to get recorded and now the kids will be able to get certified birth certificates from the State of FL!!!
Now I need to decide whether to go ahead and spend the time and money to get Victoria another Certificate of Citizenship since the Passport Agency lost it.
I have a color copy, thank heavens. What do ya'll think??

Poor little baby

Had to take Danny to the Dr, poor thing has Strep! He started not feeling well yesterday, slight temp and horrible cough.
How does that happen when he hasn't been to school since last Wednesday??
We had to keep him out of school today and he was not happy about it.
He had the 2nd half of his psych testing yesterday and she said it went well. We meet again in two weeks to go over the results and then will meet with the ped neurologist to decide what we do next. Once we do that we meet with his IEP group to let them know what our testing has shown and see what they will do about it.
PS - Doesn't everyone take their rider mower down the street for a ride??? :) :)

FFF twofer!

The kids playing in the grass together, beautiful out :)

This is my "Auntie Lorraine", one of my mom's best friends from long ago.
They drove down from northern Fl to visit for the weekend!!
Danny was beside himself waiting for them to show up :)

Today was the day that Victoria decided walking was much better than crawling!! She now cruises around the whole house as much as possible. It is so strange to be doing something in the kitchen and see her walking around the corner :) :)
She can stop pick something up and keep going. She even tried to run away from me!

Danny had his first testing session yesterday with the Psychologist and it went really well. He goes back Monday to finish up. The Psychologist thinks he will not test as high as he should because of his expressive speech issues. She says when he gets overwhelmed he shuts down and does not pay attention. At one point she was explaining something to him and he told her to stop talking so much :)

I made the mistake of picking little missy up off the floor and swinging her overhead today... As soon as I did it I knew I threw my back out :(
Luckily Dan and Danny did the vacuuming :)
Victoria kept wanting me to pick her up and I just can't. I am alternating heat and cold and wearing a back brace. ARGH!

We want to wish my baby niece a happy birthday today!! OMG she is 17!!!!!!

A Day at the Park

Victoria did not like the horse at all, but loved the mulch :)

Danny showing off :)

Both kids in the firetruck. Danny just loves it.

Victoria loved to climb up and down these stairs over and over and over...
The other kids had to keep going around her and she was totally oblivious :)

I LOVE this picture! Little girl is looking up at her big brother in awe!

Favorite Foto Friday!

My favorite for the week: a LITTLE attitude :)

Now for some updates:
Victoria has learned several signs and uses them appropriately :)

Eat now mom!

More please!

Half a**ed sign for please! She was tired of performing by now :)
Mom - leave me alone

Feeding Pooh and Tigger part of her cookie - yummy!

Victoria had her 15 month check up yesterday:
weight 22 pounds!
height 31 inches!
Dr. is very happy with her progress, says she is ahead of her age developmentally.
Cool thing is that they count signs as words! So she is ahead in the word count. We talked about her eating and he told me not to worry about it, that she will eat enough on her own and to just let her play with her food. The dogs are loving it :)
The food is making her constipated and we are using mineral oil twice a day in her bottle to help. He said not to worry about the bottle yet, to keep trying cups. She finally drank a bit the other day with her Nuby cup and a little bit every day since. She only gets her bottle at wake up, nap and bedtime. I gotta remember that she was so behind when I got her, not sitting up or eating anything at 7 months.
Poor thing had two more shots - thank heavens she is finally caught up!
Of course the nurse said they should not bother her, within an hour she was cranky and very tired - see below:

Catching some zzz's at Costco!

After her afternoon nap she was very cranky and both arms hurt. Every time she used her arms or you touched them she cried. I gave her some tylenol and she felt a little better. By 10 she was awake and in pain and with a fever!! I could not get her back to sleep till after midnight :)

Danny is having an incredible week at school!! We have been working on his letters and numbers every day and he is starting to get it!!! :) The neurologist was wonderful! Danny had a meltdown while there so she got to see that too. She will work with the psychologist and we will have a sitdown once all tests are done. Danny had to have some blood drawn so we could do some genetic testing. Hopefully we will get some answers soon.

New Years and back home!!

Grampy started getting a cold on New Years Eve and shoveling with Danny for an hour couldn't have helped any. Dan was dying for a cheese steak so we found a really good place and bought him one. It was right near Grampys work so we bought him some homemade chicken soup and brought it to him at the office. Victoria is finally getting over her cold, still snuffly though. Her sleep hasn't been the best, she wakes up around 3 am having trouble breathing.

Hanging at my sister's house for New Years Eve! Those are my two sisters on the couch! We only made it till 8 and then headed back to my dad's. We convinced him to put a fire on and we all stayed up till about 9 chillin by the fire! Danny had so much fun sledding with his cousins and I could not believe he made it till 9!

If I bend over and hide the chip - no one will know I have it!

New Year's Day was very quiet as we just hung at Grampy's house. Danny had a major meltdown, just too much stimulation for too many days. He also knew we would be saying goodbye to Grammy and Grampy and Nana would be picking us up to head to the hotel at the airport. Our flight is at 5:50 am so we are staying close by.
It also started snowing big huge flakes and Danny wanted to stay and help Grampy with the shoveling. It was so nice to be with family, I really miss being with everyone especially at the holidays.

Hanging with nana at the hotel watching football!

The aftereffects of a Florida boy sledding in the snow for the first time!! Poor thing had rasberries on his forehead, nose, lip, legs and arms!!

We made it on our flight with 20 minutes to spare, luckily there was a Dunkin Donuts right near our gate :) Both kids were great about waking up at 4 am. We had to have the wings de-iced in Boston and then both kids slept on the flight to Cincinnati. We had time to walk to our next gate and it was time to board! In Cincinnati we had to have the whole plane de-iced! The flight went pretty good till the last half hour when Victoria had had enough. We couldn't believe it when the pilot told us it was only 40 degrees in Fort Myers!! WHAT?!?!?!

We were home by 12:30 and by 1:30 everyone was napping! The dogs were so happy to see us and it took them awhile to calm down. Now we just had to get everyone back on schedule!

After I unpacked our bags Danny packed his and said he was going to Grampy's!!

Victoria had a rough first night home, I think it was payback for vacation! She was up crying from 12 till 2!
I hope everyone had a wonderful New Years!
ps - it is still cold here, in the 50's!!
