busy busy busy!!

Sorry I have not updated! It has been so busy :) :)

Everyone dressed up for Feast Day at Danny's school Tuesday. The upper classmen and teachers were all pilgrims and the lower classmen were all indians! The kids have been doing indian studies for the last two months and pow wow weekly. Tuesday am was testing day to earn feathers, Danny earned his 3!! They spent the morning playing indian games and then we all sat down for a feast.

Playing kickball. The bigger kids had to play the outfield so in order to make it fair they had to stay on their knees! Danny got a homerun!! As he rounded third he started in for home and everyone was cheering him on, he thought everyone was yelling at him so was in tears as he crossed home :(

The Feast!

Tossing the corn through the hoop

Playing catch the ball in the cup.

All Victoria wanted to do was swing!

Danny's class!

Playing toss the ring

Wednesday I had my followup with the ortho guy, who was happy my hip is better. But wanted to give me shots in my back for my back pain. I told him I wanted to wait a bit, so I see him just before Christmas to see if my back pain is any better :) (I know woosie)

After I had my Dr visit Danny & I went to the airport to pick up Grammy and Grampy. Danny was beside himself he was so excited! Luckily my car doors don't open till the car has come to a complete stop!! He almost brought Grampy to his knees when he jumped out of the car!!
On the way home we stopped at Danny's school so he could show Grammy and Grampy! He was so proud walking around pointing everything out! On the way out we ran into the Director and her husband and He thanked them for letting him go there! It was so cute!

Happy booty from Grammy and Grampy :)

Nothing better than belly rasberries :)

Grampy doing what he does best!!

The dogs are always happy when Grampy comes to visit cause they get walks 1-2 times a day

This is what little missy did while everyone else was out walking and mommy and daddy were watching tv! should have known she was being too quiet :(

lots to be thankful for

Giving Thanks!!
We had thanksgiving dinner around 4, then chilled in the hot tub, got our pj's on and then had pumpkin and apple pie!!

Grampy lick my finger, this white stuff is yummy :)

Grampy is letting me "share" his bagel :)

Little Missy decided she wanted to use the potty!! So we have been staying dry all day. I think it was the Dora stickers I bought :)

We are off to the Alligator Farm today. These were tickets we won at the silent auction.
Hope everyone had a great holiday!!

Visit with Nana and our new Friend!!

Last Sunday we headed over to Nana's for dinner. She had Danny for the weekend and we wanted Victoria to meet her new kitty.

My favorite photo!! the kids with Nana's new kitty:) They were ruthless, chasing the poor thing all over the house.

The kids keeping busy raking outside Nana's house

Victoria hiding in Nana's kitty carrier

Working out at Nana's, I think it might have been the first time the machine had been used in a while :) :)

Look how much the grass is growing!!

We met up with Ford and Aly and Ms Alyzabeth Wednesday. We were supposed to meet at a park but it was just too darn cold out so we met for lunch :)
Victoria was SO excited about seeing "Lizbeth" her friend :) :)

Hey look! It is my friend Alyzabeth!!!!!!

Keeping Ford and Aly busy :)

cha cha cha chia

The really light green is the new grass :) We keep telling Danny that it is our new chia pet - too bad he does not understand what that is.

Being their normal goofy selves :) :)

Victoria's latest game. When one of us is in the bathroom (if the door is not shut you get NO privacy) she lays down outside the door and passes toys or her fingers through and we pass them back. She thinks this is so funny :)

Danny showing off his big muscles :)

Playing on the swingset while we wait for Nana to come over :)

Hey look at me! I have panties on :)
(she went through 4 pairs in a couple of hours so we are going to wait a little bit longer before we try this again :) )

Look at those cute cheeks :)

First playdate with Alyzabeth!

We have some new friends that live right across the river. They just got home from China several week ago with the most beautiful little girl. We were finally able to connect for a playdate.
Ms Alyzabeth is only a couple of weeks older than Victoria so it was really cool to have a playmate her age.

Danny showed Alyzabeth how to climb the rock wall and go down the slide. She was not too sure at first, but quickly learned how much fun it was!

Aly showing Alyzabeth how much fun bubbles are :)

Danny just LOVED Ms Alyzabeth :) Victoria is "flying" on the swing behind them :)

Aly pushes miss V on the swing.

Alyzabeth discovers that a swing is lots of fun!

Victoria just loved Ford!

Everyone playing with Ford, Alyzabeth really warmed up to everyone and loved the dogs.

Victoria playing with Ford and tickling daddy

Both kids keep asking when Alyzabeth is coming over again. Both said she is their friend :)

I had to go into the hospital to get a steroid shot in my hip joint for osteoarthritis, boy did it hurt! It gets done in radiology and the doctor could not believe I had not had it done before now.
I took this picture with my phone cause I could not believe it myself!
If you are squeamish don't look at this picture!

It has been a whole day and I am still a bit nauseous and the hip still hums a bit. I don't know how long till it feels really good, how good it will feel and how long it will last. I see the ortho again in two weeks so hopefully I will know better then. Both kids were fascinated by my bandage and bruise :)

OMG is it Saturday already?!?!?!

Eyeballing Danny to make sure he does not touch her candy. He was excited to see how much she had and kept trying to get her to share :)

Pooped out after spending the weekend at Nana's. Nana's new kitty is very happy Danny had to go home :)

In my princess gown :)

It has been rough sleeping as Victoria keeps falling out of the toddler bed. The drop is only about 6 inches but she screams and will not go back to sleep till one of us goes up there resettles her. So we decided to just move her into a twin bed with a rail. This also makes it more comfortable for us if we have to be with her.
So I hit the base with Nana and found this:

how cool is this? It has a twin on top and a trundle and 3 drawers under. She still thinks she can't get out of it so we haven't needed to use the gate. (yet)
I sold her Princess toddler bed on Craigslist the day I listed it :)

Sleeping like a princess :)

Yah the sod is here!!!!!

Our new Carolina Rockers, we got two with a table and we ALL LOVE to sit on them and watch the neighborhood :)

The sod in place waiting for the guys to come

Watching the sod guys while I swing with my ponies :)
We turned her seat around so she could watch.

Pushing her ponies on the swing

They play so well together it is amazing!

I finally saw the spine specialist and he was really nice. He said that even though my spine is a mess, the pain I am having is not from it. He said if the spinal issues were causing me pain it would be on my left side. Since my hip pain is on the right side he says it is not related to the spine issues. He felt the first course of action is to try shooting a steroid in the hip joint and see if that takes care of the pain. I go next Tuesday for the shot and don't even want to think about the visual of a shot going into my hip joint while they xray it to make sure they get it in the right area. :( I see him two weeks after that for follow up.

I also got a call from my oncologist's office that my genetic testing for the breast cancer gene came back negative!! Of course he prefaces it with the test is for only 2 known genetic mutations and is sure there are more, they just have not been found yet. The good news is that my sisters don't need to worry now about getting tested. Somehow I thought I would be more relieved, but I think it would make more sense if I had the gene rather than think the cancer was just a fluke. I am a very logical person and it is easier to deal with agenetic reason rather than just fate.

Poor Dan - he went to the dentist on Wednesday because he had a toothache and ended up being there for 2 1/2 hours! Turns out a tooth he had a root canal done years ago wasn't completely cleaned out. Two of the roots were still in there and were infected and he had an absess. The dentist also found a wisdom tooth right next to it and pulled that too :( There was no way to save the tooth and he has a huge hole in his gum with several stitches. He is miserable :( :(

To top it all off my 4 month old dryer stopped working, no heat! Of course by the time I noticed the blinking lights on the dryer I had already washed another load!!
I called Sears to schedule service and have to wait till Wednesday for a tech. :(
