The road trip ends!

Right after I posted that we hit LOTS of traffic!

We were up at 6:30 at the hotel, had breakfast and was on the road by 7:00

Then we played Nerf football to get some energy out!

SO happy our road trip is over! Today was 7 hours on the road. We hit Rockport and did a big shop and then to the cottage. Everyone was so excited to be here and see where we were staying.
We had dinner, showers and tubs and then bed!! Victoria was so wound up she could not fall asleep till 9:30! It is SO good to be back home!! (Dan is from Salem and I am from Waltham)
Lets hope it does not get TOO cold!!

Still on the road!

Right after I posted that we hit traffic all the way through Baltimore!

We did get into the hotel about 6:30 - good guess :)

I checked us in and then we met my Uncle for dinner at Bertucci's in Bel Air MD.

We got back to the hotel around 8:00 and were all in bed by 8:15.

We ended up having to change rooms cause this one was not clean :(

So we moved rooms at 9:00 and then settled in for the night.

Today we traveled for 14 hours!!! And the kids were great!!!

My uncle even commented on how well behaved they were after being cooped up in the car for so long!

The start of our Big road trip!

On the road again .... Been driving for an hour already. Only 12 hours to go :)

Here is our trip - 1200 miles and18 hours to go total!!

We were up at 3:30 and had the kids in the car at 4:15 and on the road. Gerri and Victoria didn't fall back asleep. Danny slept till 6:30. AS you can see above the girls napped for about 1 1/2 hours after lunch.
We had lots of movies to watch, satellite radio to listen to and each kid had a lap box of things (coloring books, notebooks, toys, crayons, colored pencils, pencils)
The kids were absolutely amazing!!!

We met THE Grand Poobah!!!!

Danny had Tutoring and Neuro today, so  the girls and I took a mini road trip today :)

We got to meet the Grand Poobah of Reece's Ukrainian Adoptions - Miss Meredith!!!!!!

Michael was kind enough to stop in to help us with the adjustments.

One of those god things, Ms Meredith and I were talking one day and I mentioned that it was going to take 3 months to get Gerri a wheel chair and she said "we have one in our garage that you can use! We have been trying to get rid of it!" How amazing is that! Gerri just lit right up once she was sitting upright on our level!

The girls were SO tired they both napped the whole ride home :)

Ms Meredith - we can't thank you enough!!

Yes, I remembered the floaties this time!

Gerri took a bit to figure out the floatation thing.

Because her left side is more affected it is weaker and she kept going around in circles :)

She took a while to figure it out, but she did and had all arms and legs working!

We were there long enough that we had to take a rest/nap break :)

Then the kids had to jump on the trampoline after a whole day of swimming!

They were all sound asleep at 8:15 after watching Nim's Island. They all slept till 7:30 am today!!

We decided to not go to the pool today, figured it would be really busy on a Sunday.
The kids all had lots of color and poor Gerri got a sunburn on the back of her legs and ch**ks :)
We cleaned house, picked up and started pulling things together for our road trip up north :)

Last day oh my gosh!!

The last day of school is Luau day so here the kids are ready to go!!

The kids made shoes in school yesterday and Gerri would not part with hers!!

The kids were very hot and very sweaty!!

We decided that we would join a large complex just north of us. They have really great facilities.

We spent the entire afternoon here!!

Gerri was not too sure at first:

I forgot the floaties at home so Victoria decided to learn to swim!!

Gerri soon got the hang of it. We had her doing ALL her stretches!

We spent a little time at the kiddie pool, but the water was very cold!

Geri made another friend, they swam together quite a bit. The other girl didn't seem to notice that she didn't speak much english :) :)

Everyone was very tired!! We were there from 3:30 to 7:30! Bed at 8:00 and no one made a peep!!
