Very Big Day tomorrow!

Tomorrow is the BIG day :) We sign papers and move into our new house!!!

We spent today packing and cleaning the rental house and working on closing issues, but we are all set now. The time had to be pushed back since the mortgage co made a mistake on the docs, but we will still have things going on at the house while we wait to sign.

We will miss our little (LITTLE) old (OLD) house near the ocean a bit:)

The dogs have walked every day and swam every day!

Saturday was our meeting/lunch with the sellers.

Gerri and Danny were with Grampy and Grammy on the boat, so there was just 3 of us.

 We ended up spending 3 hours with the sellers and it went great! We had pizza, walked the whole house and best of all they had movers packing all their stuff!! They have made a lot of progress and the movers were working till they had the house fully packed and the moving van comes on Monday am. The Sellers are really pushing to close Wednesday too as they have to leave Thursday am to drive both vehicles to FL to meet the moving truck. Victoria was so good :)
We then went to my sister's house and we all decided we needed to go out for Mexican :)

 On Sunday we did our big shop, it was the tax free weekend in MA and we had lots of big stuff to buy. So I went to Target and bought lots of good stuff and then met Dan and Victoria at HomeDep*t to buy the rest of the stuff we needed. We saved SO much money it was amazing!! Add to that the Home Dep*t 10% military credit - woo hoo!!! We have run out of room in the trailer so we were able to store some of it in my sister's cellar. my brother in law will load it up with Dan's help tomorrow and will drive over to the house.

We headed out to pick up Danny and Gerri and meet Grampy and Grammy for dinner. We have eaten out SO much I dread unpacking the scale :(

Turns out it was a tough weekend for all :( Danny has been on the boat a couple of times and loves to help, so he got lots of good attention. Gerri had a very hard time with that and was totally misbehaving! :( She thought she was being cute, but it was not. I could tell by her face when we saw them at the restaurant that she didn't want to tell me. You know how it is, Grampy and Grammy let it slide at first cause it was cute and new, but then it got old. Gerri was really being fresh, being mean to Danny, just so wound up. :(

We had a long talk on the drive home and I told her how sad I was that she made some very bad choices, that we had talked before she even went about her behaviour and acting her age. I told her that for now she would not be going sailing with Grampy and Grammy till she could show she can make good decisions and act her age.
We will all be very happy once we are settling into our new house, with us all having space, our own rooms and furniture and a routine again. We have 3 weeks to get organized before school starts.
Pray for no rain tomorrow and no craziness and good behaviour!!
I am not sure when I will have internet again, Ver*zon is supposed to be at the house in the afternoon but of course they are on strike.

oh no!

Just a quick note, we are going over to the house to have lunch with the seller's!! pray it goes well, no yelling, no telling us we have an hour to do things. It seems communication has gotten much better since we stopped going through the realtors and just emailed between us!
We got a call from our attorney yesterday to say the title examination brought up some issues that need to be cleared by the seller's attorney. Our attorney cannot fix it since he does not represent the seller, so by lunch he was still trying to get hold of the seller's attorney :( We got an email at 3 pm that the seller's realtor had finally gotten hold of the seller's and their attorney. Our attorney is not sure if we will be able to close on Wednesday :( :(
But on a great note!! Danny and Gerri went with Grampy and Grammy sailing for the weekend! Danny has been a couple of times, but Gerri has never gone. She and I have never been apart since gotcha day March 31, 2010!! I just hope they don't bicker too much. We gave Grampy and Grammy permission to use time out if they need it. It is SO strange just having Victoria with us :) I hope they have a great time! and it will make the remaining time here in the rental go by faster.

We are oh so patiently waiting till our closing date next Wednesday :)

It seems the Seller's have suddenly discovered they have a lot to do in a very short time. I guess the 2 vacations that they took in the last 2 weeks has caused a time crunch, who would have thought it?!?!?

We tried to get the closing moved up a day or so as our mortgage docs are ready, but the sellers are refusing, following the contract. We asked to get in to do some measurements and check some things and were told they were too busy and did not have the time for us. I had to get our attorney involved since by contract we have 4 allowed visits. We were supposed to go today with a window guy and they kept changing the time so we asked them to give us a time tomorrow when we can come and copied the atty on the email. They wanted to have a welcome to the neighborhood party for us and it kept changing dates and times too and turned into their farewell party. So we have been totally frustrated trying to plan anything. They don't understand that we have to arrange child care :(

They have movers coming on Monday and are SO not ready and totally panicing.

When we mentioned getting a dumpster to them weeks ago both Sellers thought we were crazy, so guess what is being delivered tomorrow?? a dumpster :)

I try to feel bad for them, but come on!! to think they are going to pack a house in less than 1 week?

They have SO much stuff in the house, attic, garage and storage sheds it is amazing and scary.

Dan figures we will get stuck cleaning a bunch of stuff out ourselves. We will have our walk thru on Tuesday afternoon, cause they need the whole day to clean. If there is anything left we will have to have a holdback of their funds at closing.

We have asked our atty to have our docs ready to go on Tuesday end of day so we can sign as soon as we walk. Then Wednesday am the sellers will sign and we will get the keys and head over.

It has been totally frustrating and we just keep saying 6 more days and we will be there and they can't do anything!!

It was 2 hours long and the performers were amazing!! Most start at the 3 week summer camp and then they spend the summer traveling around New England putting on shows :)
I wish I could take photos, but they asked us not to.

We have lots going on getting ready to move. We have everything lined up to happen so I figure something will happen to screw it up :)
I cannot wait till we are settled in and can get into a routine again, the kids are all acting up :(
Everyone's patience has run out. We are counting down on a paperchain to help us get through it :)
