Tired little girl and another breakthrough!!

Victoria and I picked up Gerri around 11:30. She is a bit tired as you can see:
We had to run to the store to pick up some stuff. She was sitting in the cart with her head bowed down.
I asked her if she was tired and she said "No".
She kept rubbing her legs so I asked if they hurt and she said "No".
I then said "honey, I can tell you are tired and sore why can't you just tell me that??"
She answered "I don't know" :(
I asked her what she thought mommy and daddy would do if she told us she was hurting and her answer was "NOTHING" :( :(
I gave her a big hug and told that mommy and daddy would take care of her forever and it was our JOB to take care of her when she hurts. I told her that as soon as we got home she could have some quiet time and some medicine. She hugged me and told me she loved me :) snif snif...

She roused herself a bit with her new coloring books! Do you like this position :) :)
The girls were very excited to be coloring their matching books :)
Luckily tomorrow is another short day, we feast and then come home.

awe, you never quite know what's going through their minds when they have had no one to comfort them in the past. Atleast you can talk to her and she understands. It's really difficult with Artiom, because he is can't speak and his thinking isn't the same as Gerri's is.

Lindsey is always saying what a sharp cookie Gerri is, and so sweet and funny :)

What a sweetheart. So glad to hear she is continuing to improve and hopefully will continue to open up and let you love her. :-)

Poor baby. How hard it must be to hurt and feel like no one will help you! :( I'm glad she's feeling a bit better, though.

By the way, I stumbled upon your blog a few weeks ago and now I'm hooked! All three of your kids are so cute. When I decide to start my family, I plan to adopt internationally, and I so admire those families who already have!

I hope your family has a wonderful Thanksgiving!
