A very long day!

We left the house at 8:00 cause we were told to be there at 9:30 for an 11:30 procedure!
Here Ms Gerri is at 12:15 getting her sleepy medicine

Zoning out!

Taking a little nappy noo!

Giving her sister a hugs and kiss before surgery

Danny was so emotional he had to walk away with Dan :(

Dr coming in to see us around 2:00 to say she was done!!
It went as expected. The doc really worked her lagging left foot to get as much as possible to 90 degrees and straight. In the process there was a shift, they took an xray and there is a slight crack in one of her foot bones. Luckily the answer is a cast, which she already has. Unluckily, that foot is going to hurt a bit more :(

Not a happy girl waking up from anesthesia
Yes, her monkey got casts too!

How absolutely amazing is this!!!!
The dr had hoped for more, but we are SO happy!!

Danny sat and held her hand while she nodded on and off

She wanted me to hold her even thought it hurt :)
She was in SO much pain that we were very sure we would be spending the night!!

But look at the difference a shot of morphine will do!!
Sitting up, drinking juice and eating a few crackers.

We were discharged around 6:00 pm

Danny was at cubbies so Victoria sat with her while she had a little egg to eat

I gave her a lollipop for her very sore throat
Yes - her eyes are closed!! she is napping :)

Here is the princess sleeping!
We are hanging out on the couch tonight.
See that green bucket next to her?? it has come in handy :(
Praying for a better day tomorrow!!

Thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers!

So glad to hear you are all home! It's never fun recovering from anesthesia. :-( Poor thing. Hoping tomorrow goes better for her and she feeling better. Thank you Lord for answering prayers!

Bless your little angel, it seems like yesterday that she was in her bed in the orphanage, and now... getting ready to dance on new legs and feet!!!! Wow, how happy you must be! Nancy, you're an awesome mom! Love to your family, Mona

That's my least favorite part--the after-effects of the anesthesia. :( Poor G. I hope she feels better soon, and I hope this helps her better understand that you will NEVER leave her!

So happy to hear how she is doing. The good news is that it will get a little easier every day! And I can't help but point out that the photo with Victoria giving Gerri a pre-op hug....it looks like Victoria is getting bit in the toosh by that yellow fish! It looks 3D. I laughed out loud :) Please keep us updated!

Glad it all went well! Yes, Bryson's tibia was broke in his surgery and created the most pain for him.

How long in casts? Bryson was 8 weeks post op.
