First Monday!

The kids slept till 8:00 this am!
Breakfast was yoghurt and oatmeal.
This morning was spent at the base in Jax. We added Gerri as a dependant on Dan's record and then went to the hospital to add her to our insurance. That took about 3 hours and everything went well. The kids were happy and played well together. They all loved to watch the jets take off and land.
We went to the brew house for lunch. I forgot my camera so used my phone. Danny pulled Gerri right up to the game so she could play too:
Gerri ate 1/2 a grilled cheese sandwich and fries.

We then went to the commissary to pick up some stuff

At home the kids played outside some more. Danny was so excited about pulling Gerri in the wagon.
Danny came up to me and told me that her weight must be too much because he was huffing and puffing

We dragged the wagon out to the front to make it easier :)
Here Danny is taking a break

They got tired and got out the Jeeps :)

Dinner was pancakes and she ate 1/2
After dinner it was time for a toothbrushing lesson :)

Then while dad got the tub ready we did some exercises :)
Neck rolls, shoulder shrugs, arm lifts :)

Danny is a bit infatuated with Gerri. We have to keep reminding him to give her personal space, not lay on her feet or legs, stop rubbing her head and kissing her. Victoria was feeling a bit left out :(
So I have been giving her some mommy time and she is happy.
The kids start back to school on Wednesday and we will contact the school system about getting Gerri tested.
She is repeating more English words each day and uses them appropriately.
She is gaining strength and flexibility in her trunk.
She is able to potty by herself and wipe, which is great since she had been using a bed pan and getting wiped. We let her dress herself as much as possible.
She can play sitting up at the table or floor much on her own now.
She at least tries all food even if she doesn't like it.
Big day tomorrow - haircuts for the girls :)

Dear Nancy & Family,
Congratulations! It is great to see all of you at home together. I found your blog through RR and have followed since Nancy made the trip to bring Sveta home. Nancy, you do such an great job of making the reader feel like they are on the trip with you. I look forward to reading your family story in the weeks to come. I understand if you do not want to answer the following question, but how were you able to travel and bring Sveta home by yourself? From the reading I have done I thought the Ukraine required both parents to appear in court. Just wondering..
I will continue to pray for a smooth transition for all of you.
Patty
